Youth killed by stabbing in Kushtia

A young man named Sultan Ul Alam Lincoln (35) was killed due to previous enmity in Kushtia's Mirpur Upazila. The incident took place in Mosharrafpur area of the municipality on Tuesday (February 7) evening. On Wednesday (February 8) morning, the Mirpur Thana police confirmed the death of Lincoln.

The deceased Sultan ul Alam Lincoln is the son of Abdur Rashid of the same area. In this incident, Abdur Rashid, the father of the victim, filed a case with the police station accusing seven people as the plaintiff.

• According to the police, Shaheen Mallik and Razzak Mallik, sons of Karim Bux of Mosharrafpur area of Mirpur municipality, along with their people, had been in conflict for a long time due to the previous enmity of the slain Sultan Ul Alam Lincoln. As a result of this, they had an argument yesterday around 6:30 pm. At that time, fights and disturbances spread between both the families. Later, he was rescued and taken to Kushtia General Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead at around 3 am on Wednesday.

Rakibul Hasan, OC (Investigation) of Mirpur police station, said that they had been in dispute for a long time due to previous enmity. Sultan ul Alam cut and injured Lincoln, later rescued him and took him to Kushtia General Hospital where he died early on Wednesday morning. Three people have been arrested in connection with this murder. He said that efforts are underway to arrest the rest.
