Two Killed in Terrorist Attack in Congo
20 people have been killed in an attack by terrorists in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) in Central Africa. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack. Reuters reported this information in a report on Sunday (April 9).

Christophe Munyanderu, coordinator of the local human rights organization Convention for the Respect of Human Rights (CRDH), said that ADF fighters killed residents of Kandoi and Bandiboli villages in Ituri province late on Friday (05 August) and early morning on Saturday (06 August) and burned their houses.
Local army spokesman Jules Ngongo confirmed the casualties in the terrorist attack. He also said that an army operation is underway to catch the attackers.
The ADF is a Ugandan militia group that moved into eastern Congo in the 1990s. The group killed 1,500 people last year, according to Kivu Security Tracker, a local organization that publishes statistics on violence in the region.
More than 120 armed groups are involved in the conflict in the unstable country. As a result, civilians are often killed. Millions of people have become refugees due to the conflict.
