Today, two teams are facing each other, there is anxiety all over the country

The two major political organizations of the country, the ruling Awami League and the field opposition BNP, will hold programs at the union level across the country today. Awami League will hold peace rally and BNP march.

Around the program, both parties want to prove their organizational strength through a massive showdown on the streets. Political analysts are afraid of conflict around these counter programs of two major political parties at the grassroots level. However, both parties say they will hold the program completely peacefully.

BNP and like-minded parties will hold the march as part of the simultaneous program of lowering the prices of daily commodities and the ongoing mass movement on the basis of 10 points. On the other hand, Awami League will hold a peace rally to protest the anarchic and terrorist activities of the BNP-Jamaat alliance. BNP has already called the ruling party to withdraw from the counter program. Meanwhile, the overall security system has been strengthened by the law and order forces to deal with any possible situation.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that BNP has been coming to the field openly for some time, especially since December. We are holding a peace rally due to fear of terrorism. As long as the BNP does the movement, we will hold a peace rally. Our party is preparing for the election. If we give a program, someone says counter-programme. We are not doing a counter program. Our past experience with BNP is not pleasant. In 2013, 2014, the people of the country got the proof of the worst, dirty role they played in politics.

BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said, 'BNP is giving a peaceful programme, they (Awami League) are giving a counter programme. BNP is giving programs, they are giving protest programs. BNP is giving a program, are they giving a peace program?

We want to say, BNP's peaceful program should not be obstructed. The target crowd has proved by taking to the streets that mass tide cannot be stopped by shooting, killing, filing false cases, missing cases.'

He said, "The counter program, the peace rally - you have become known as a laughingstock to the people. The people of the country laugh at your program. This BNP leader warned that the movement to restore democracy cannot be stopped with a counter program.
