There will be competitive parliamentary elections: Prime Minister
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina told the party members that the upcoming national parliament elections will be fair and competitive. He directed the party's members of parliament to go to the people and ask for votes in order to win this competitive election.
The Prime Minister said this at the meeting of the Awami League parliamentary party held at Sangsad Bhavan today.
In this meeting, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, 'The upcoming elections will be free, fair and competitive. To win the election, you have to work well from now. All MPs should go to the people in their respective areas for victory. Must have good relationship with people. We have to go to people's houses and show them the developments that our three-term government has done.
He also said, 'I have the survey report. I will nominate the candidate of the party after considering the survey report. Those who are isolated from the people, do not go to the area, do not have relations with the people, in the case of nomination, decisions will be made after thinking about them. Those who have disobeyed party instructions and acted against the party, those who have lost popularity will not be nominated. Only the popular ones will be nominated so that they can emerge as winners. We have to think about these things and work for the party from now on.'
At this time, apart from highlighting the success and development activities of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina government, the misdeeds of the opposition BNP-Jamaat should also be highlighted to the people. People should be told about the corruption, looting, terrorism and killings that they have done in the past while in power. Besides, the opposition parties have done fire and terror in the name of the movement, they have killed people, destroyed people's property, they should also go to the people and remind people.
