The research results were presented at an event organized by Blueway at Hotel Radisson in the capital on Tuesday (April 11) afternoon.

According to the survey, access to health care by poor women has increased compared to any previous period. According to a 2011 estimate, for women, access to health care facilities in the wealthy was six times higher than in the poor. In 2022, the use of services by the rich has doubled compared to the poor.

Furthermore, 88 percent of women received antenatal or ANC services from a trained health worker at least once. Which in 2017 was 82 percent. But the number who received antenatal care, or ANC, more than four times during Covid fell from 47 percent to 41 percent.

Regarding birth control, the survey said that the rate of use of birth control products has increased by 2 percent over the previous period. The rate of use of modern methods of birth control increased by 3 to 55 percent.


The number of early marriages is also gradually decreasing. Among women aged 20 to 24, marriage before 18 was 65 percent in 2011, 59 percent in 2017, and 50 percent in 2022.

According to 2022 estimates, the number of children per woman is 2.3 children. However, teenage childbearing has declined compared to previous years. In 2017 this level was 28 percent, in 2022 it decreased to 23 percent.
