In the message of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Friday night with information about the arrest of two people, it was claimed that the main coordinator of the robbery of two militants who were sentenced to death from the court premises on November 20 is Shikha.
He said that Shikha, the wife of escaped militant Sohel, who was the main coordinator of the robbery of two militants from the court premises, and his accomplice have been arrested from Narayanganj. An operation is being conducted to arrest the fugitive militants along with them. It will be possible to give details about this at a later time.
Meanwhile, a message from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police claimed that Shikha was the main coordinator of the robbery of two militants sentenced to death from the court premises on November 20. However, the message did not mention when and from where they were arrested. Apart from this, the name of the woman's 'shelter' has not been mentioned.
On November 20, 2022, two convicts Ansar Al Islam member Mainul Hasan Shamim alias Samir alias Imran and Abu Siddique Sohail alias Shakib alias Sajid alias Shahab, who were sentenced to death for killing publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan by spraying the police in the eyes, were abducted by militants.
At that time, the accused tried to snatch two more accused named Arafat and Sabur, but later they were arrested from the spot by the police.
Inspector Julhas Uddin Akand of Tiff Judicial Magistrate Court filed a case against 20 people in Kotwali police station of Dhaka.
Then, three days after the robbery incident, the police arrested Mehdi Hasan Ami alias Rafi, a member of 'Ansar Al Islam', and claimed that he was the main coordinator of the incident.
