Restaurant manager Shafiqur Rahman died after being shot by the owner of the building

Restaurant manager Shafiqur Rahman Kajol (55) died after being shot by the building owner in Chazada, Narayanganj. He died in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Dhaka Medical College (DHMC) hospital around 10:30 pm on Monday. This was confirmed by Kajol's colleague Ashraful Alam.

He died at Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital around 11 pm on Monday.

Restaurant owner Shukkur Ali said that he got news that Kajol died on Monday night. We are going to the hospital. Preparations are underway to bring the body.

The deceased Kajal is the son of Shah Alam of Alirtek Union of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila. He lived in Nabiganj area of the port.

Earlier on Sunday night, Azhar Talukder, the owner of a part of Angoura Plaza, opened a terrorist-style shooting rampage in Angoura Plaza adjacent to Jannat Mosque in the city's Chajara Bagh.

Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station OC Anichur Rahman said that 5 people were injured by the friend of Azhar Talukdar, the owner of Angura Plaza, due to a dispute over house ownership, electricity and water bills. Among them, the manager of the restaurant, Sofiqur Rahman Kajal (50), who was shot, died at Dhaka Medical Hospital on Monday at 9 pm while undergoing treatment.

He said that a pistol and a shotgun were seized in this incident. Verification of whether they have license is going on. Azhar Talukder, the owner of a part of the building and his son Arif Talukder, were arrested and sent to the court on Monday asking for a 5-day remand for further investigation.
