As a result, various vehicles using this road are moving through alternative routes.
It is reported that a clash took place in Binodpur market between Rabi students and locals over a trivial incident on Saturday evening. More than two hundred people including students were injured in this incident. However, the condition of a student named Rakib is critical and he is under treatment in the ICU of the hospital. Classmate of this student who is under treatment in ICU said that Rakib's condition has not improved much. Yesterday is Saturday as it was.
Meanwhile, BGB has been deployed on Saturday night (March 11) to bring the situation under control. Earlier, several shops were vandalized in Binodpur market during the clashes. On Sunday (March 12), traders did not open their shops in the city's Binodpur market.
The students said that Alamin Akash, a student of the social science department of the university, was coming to Rajshahi by Mohammad bus from Bogra on Saturday afternoon. At that time, Akash had an argument with the driver Shariful and the supervisor Ripon about sitting in the bus. Later in this incident, the University's Binodpur Gate came and once again had trouble with the supervisor. Then a local shopkeeper came and got into an argument with the students. At one point, there was a collision between the two. Then, around 6 o'clock in the evening, there was a clash between Rajshahi University students and locals.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Additional Deputy Commissioner Rafiqul Islam said that the situation is calm at present. Additional police have been deployed at the spot. Law enforcement officials are active. At the same time, members of the intelligence force are working.
