PSG returned to victory with Messi's goal

PSG lost 3-1 to Les in their last match in Ligue 1. After that, the defending champions had a break of about 9 days in the league. Lionel Messi joined the team during this period. So in the very next match, the face of the League One champions changed.

The confidence of being in the Argentinian superstar's team was seen once again. Kylian Mbappe, one of the team's best stars, is on holiday. Ashraf Hakimi, another star of the team, is accompanying him in America. In such a situation, PSG beat Angers 2-0 at home yesterday. 

A break of more than three weeks did not affect Lionel Messi's game. After the World Cup final, the Argentinian superstar showed a glimpse of the field for the first time. Neymar also showed his footwork after the ban. And with this win, PSG secured the top spot in League One with 47 points in 18 matches.

Messi was pretty normal yesterday in the warm-up before the match. While the rest of Argentina's World Cup-winning team showed off their medals before their first club match, Messi arrived wearing a white T-shirt with the words 'Amor Pele' written on it. Brazilian forward Neymar also wears the same T-shirt. The match also started with a minute's applause in tribute to the late Pele.

PSG took the lead in the fifth minute with the first good attack. Mukiel got the ball from Messi and found Ekiti with a low cross. Then he did the rest of the work himself. In the 24th minute, Messi's excellent free kick was deflected by Sergio Ramos' head. Two minutes later he failed another free kick by the Argentine superstar. In the 33rd minute, this goalkeeper turned back another shot by Messi. PSG went into the break with a 1-0 lead. 

Angers played very attacking football at the start of the second half. However, the team could not work despite getting multiple opportunities. In the 60th minute, Abdallah Seema could not keep a shot from a dangerous spot on target. In the 72nd minute, Messi found the net after receiving the ball from Mukiel. Initially, the linesman gave offside, but the referee whistled for the goal.

In the 83rd minute, Neymar sent the ball into the net after Messi's excellent work. However, the goal was not scored as he was offside. In the 90th minute, his free kick was converted for a corner by the goalkeeper. PSG left the field with a 2-0 victory.
