Panchagarh saw sunshine but the temperature dropped to 6 degrees
Panchagarh recorded the lowest temperature in the country despite the sun shining in the morning. The temperature dropped to 6 degrees. Winter is blowing in Konkan. A temperature of 6.1 degrees Celsius was recorded at 9 am on Saturday (January 14). 6.7 degrees Celsius was recorded at 6 am. Earlier, 6.9 degrees Celsius was recorded on January 10. This northern district has been affected by the cold current that has been flowing for more than a week.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature has increased in the last three days but today it has come down to 6.1 degrees. 8.3 degree Celsius was recorded yesterday on Friday.
In January 2018, the district recorded a temperature of 2.6 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature recorded in the country in the morning has been informed by Russell Shah, Officer-in-Charge of the First Class Meteorological Department of the district.
The face of the sun has been seen since morning. But it feels very cold. The face of the sun can be seen, but the warmth of the sun does not match. Various poor and helpless people have suffered in winter. From stone workers, tea workers, day laborers to van drivers of small vehicles, people are in trouble.
Many people are unable to go to work due to severe winter. However, in order to make a living, some people have been seen to pick stones in the river, some to tea gardens and some to work as daily labourers. Winter suffering has increased among children and the elderly. The victims said that the relief given by the government to ease the suffering of these people is totally inadequate.
Meanwhile, frosty wind started in the afternoon. Konkan winter is blowing in that wind. Since the evening, the fury of winter has increased. From midnight till dawn, the district became a glacier of ice. Locals say that it feels colder at night than during the day. The whole night feels like snow. As if we live in a land of ice.
