At least 17 people were killed in an explosion at a mosque in Pakistan's Peshawar Police Lines area. At least 83 people were injured.
Rescue officials said that the explosion took place around noon on Monday. Lady Reading Hospital (LRC) spokesperson Mohammad Asim confirmed the casualties and said several people were seriously injured.

- The security forces said that more than 100 worshipers were injured in the blast, of whom 17 have died so far. However, it was not immediately known whether the suicide bomber was alive.

Dawn reported that the attacker detonated the blast around 1:40 pm local time. Security forces cordoned off the spot and declared an emergency. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
