One arrested with 10 kg of ganja

A drug dealer named Feroz Khan (33) was arrested by the District Narcotics Control Directorate in Faridpur along with 10 kg of ganja.

After filing the case, the drug dealer was sent to the Faridpur court on Thursday (February 09) morning. Harun is the son of Amir Hossain Sheikh of Khalisaduli village of Chandpur Sadar Upazila.

According to Hajiganj police station, during the regular anti-narcotics check post, a suspicious private car in Aliganj PTI junction area was not asked by the police to stop and it quickly moved towards Chandpur. Later, SI Abdul Aziz gave chase on a motorcycle and arrested the private car in front of the municipality. 10 kg of ganja was recovered after searching the seized private car.

Shamim Hossain, deputy director of Narcotics Control Department Faridpur office, confirmed the matter and said that the arrested person has been dealing in drugs for a long time. A regular case under the Narcotics Control Act has been registered against him at Kotyali police station in Faridpur. The deputy director also said that this type of campaign will continue to implement the 'zero tolerance' policy against drugs of the current government.
