Khaleda Zia's Niko case hearing postponed
According to the case report, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against Khaleda Zia at Tejgaon police station on December 9, 2007. After the investigation, on May 5, 2008, a charge sheet was filed in the court against 11 people including Khaleda Zia.

- The other defendants in the case are the then Chief Secretary Kamal Uddin Siddiqui, Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Khandkar Shahidul Islam, former Senior Assistant Secretary CM Yusuf Hossain, former General Manager of BAPEX Mir Moinul Haque, former Secretary of BAPEX Md. Shafiur Rahman, businessman Ghiyas Uddin Al Mamun, former Member of Parliament for Bagerhat MAH Salim and NICO Vice President for South Asia Kashem Sharif.

Among the accused, former Law Minister Barrister Maudood Ahmed and former State Minister for Energy AKM Mosharraf Hossain were acquitted as they died.
