Attack on Israel: Suspect arrested in case

On Monday (January 23) night, Jatrabari police arrested Johnny from the capital's Swamibagh area. Jatrabari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mofizul Haque confirmed this information.

The police arrested Imtiaz Jani, the plaintiff in the case of attack on BNP leader and former mayoral candidate of Dhaka South City Corporation, engineer Ishraq Hossain. Later, he was shown arrested in a case of vandalizing a police car.

Earlier, Johnny's wife Shahnaz Mukta complained that Johnny was picked up. Johnny's wife said that for the past few days, Johnny was being threatened over the phone to withdraw the case. His wife Mukta also said that there is no case in Johnny's name.

The OC of Jatrabari police station said that Johnny was arrested as a suspect in the case of vandalizing the police car and obstructing government work in Golapbagh on the day of the BNP rally on December 10 last year.

Before this, on December 4 last year, there was an attack on Ishraq's car in front of Jagannath University in Old Dhaka. A case was filed in the court after that incident. Johnny was the plaintiff in that case.
