Humayun Faridi won the National Film Award in 2004. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to nature, the Jahangirnagar University authorities awarded him on the occasion of the institution's 40th anniversary. However, although demands were raised from the youth community for Faridi's twenty-one medal, in the end he was not given this honorary medal. Over the last few days, there has been criticism on social media.
