Masuma Akhter is not getting the job despite being the first to participate in the written and oral examination for the job at Yogesh Chandra School and College of Madhavpur Upazila of Habiganj. Complaints have been made that she is not being given a job as a nanny because she did not pay a bribe of two lakh taka to the head teacher and the president of the managing committee. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Abul Hossain has been given the responsibility of investigating the matter.

It is known that Yogesh Chandra School and College Computer Lab Operator, Office Assistant, Cleaning Staff, Night Watchman and Iyer Vacancy has been published in the newspaper on December 29. On April 2, written and oral tests were held for those posts. On the same day, the result of the written and oral examination declared, Masuma stood first among the 4 candidates for the post of nanny. The 5-member recruitment board recommended Masuma with the highest marks for appointment.

Meanwhile, on April 6, the president and the headmaster called a meeting of the governing body and informed about the non-appointment of Masuma. When the members of the governing body asked for the reason, they could not give an answer.

Guardian member Syed Shamsul Arefin Rajib told reporters that 6 members of the governing body present in the meeting left the meeting place expressing their anger.

When contacted on Wednesday (April 12) by the headmaster and the president of the managing committee, both of them are busy; He hung up saying he would talk later. After a couple of hours they were called multiple times but they did not pick up the call.

It may be noted that there is a complaint against the head teacher and the president of the managing committee for selling unpublished government books. On December 27th, the news was published online on the website of Desh Parwanm under the title 'Madhavpur government books were sold by the head teacher - president'.


Manzoor Ahsan, Executive Officer of Madhavpur said, I received the complaint on Tuesday. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Abul Hossain has been given responsibility for the investigation on the same day. Further action will be taken after receiving his report. When asked how much time has been given for the investigation, he said that he will get the report very soon.
