Angry people of Dinajpur protested against them. The police fired indiscriminately on them, killing seven people. Since then, 'Yasmin Killing Day' has been celebrated in Dinajpur. August 24 is celebrated as 'Women's Violence Prevention Day' across the country.
It is known that the movie may start next April. Half of the shooting will be done in Dinajpur due to the need of the story. The other half is in Dhaka.
Director Suman said it took two years to get permission from Yasmin's family. People will remember Yasmin when they see her in the movie. After discussing these issues, Yasmin's mother gave permission. Later the screenplay work started.
