Coast Guard being made stronger: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the Coast Guard is being made stronger with the security of the sea border and the coast. He said, 'I have created an administrative concept for the Coast Guard. A new paradigm has been adopted for the modernization of the forces. Modern, powerful, advanced technology ships are being added to the force to further strengthen the Coast Guard.

The Prime Minister made this comment at the 28th anniversary celebration of Bangladesh Coast Guard at the headquarters of Agargaon in the capital on Monday. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal MP was present as a special guest on the occasion.

The Prime Minister said that motivated by the spirit of patriotism and liberation war, the Coast Guard is playing an effective role in the security of the sea border and preventing drug trafficking. He also commented that he has gained the trust of the people by playing a role in coastal areas in natural disasters.
