Biggest portrait of Bangabandhu in Rajshahi
Lakhokantha Report: Biggest portrait of Bangabandhu constructed in Rajshahi. It is the largest portrait of Bangabandhu in the country. About 5 crore 2 lakh rupees have been spent on the construction of this 58 feet high portrait.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate this portrait at the Awami League rally organized at Madrasa Ground in Rajshahi on Sunday (January 29).
Under the 'Metropolis Integrated Urban Infrastructure Development Project', Rajshahi City Corporation (RASIK) has completed the construction of the replica at the C&B intersection of the city.
On one side of the portrait of Bangabandhu, various images of folk culture of village-Bengali tradition have been depicted. On the other hand, the history and traditions of the Liberation War of 1971 have been highlighted from the Bayannar language movement. Furnishing with advanced granite in gallery landscaping. After the inauguration, night vision will be done with well-equipped electric bulbs.
Rasik's chief engineer Noor Islam said, this portrait is the biggest portrait of Bangabandhu in the country. It was built by Amirul Islam. Architect Abir Rahman supervised the landscaping work. It has 22 pilings on its foundation. 700 square feet of terracotta work has been done on both sides of the boundary wall.
Rasiq's Deputy Assistant Engineer Shahriar Parag said the Prime Minister will inaugurate the portrait. It is a matter of great pride for me. A lot of other developmental work has been done in Rajshahi. with whom I was associated. But this development project is different. This is the portrait of Father of our Nation Bangabandhu. I feel very proud when people come from far and wide to see. Chest filled with joy.
