In this incident, at least three people were killed and more than two hundred people were injured in Turkey. Several other buildings collapsed.
According to international media, the earthquake occurred in the southern Hatay province at 8:04 PM local time on Monday. The earthquake was also felt in Lebanon and Egypt. It has also affected Syria.
Turkey's disaster management agency AFAD said several aftershocks were felt after the earthquake. Those who died in Turkey were from Antakya, Defne and Samandagi in Hatay province.

According to the European Mediterranean Seismic Center (EMSC), Monday's earthquake had its epicenter in Turkey's Hatay province and was centered at a depth of two kilometers below the surface. The powerful earthquake, which struck at 8:04 p.m. local time, was also felt in nearby Antakya and Adana, 200 kilometers away.
A few minutes later another earthquake of magnitude 5.8 hit the same area. Turkey's disaster management agency said the epicenter of the earthquake was in Hatay's Samandag district.
According to the United Nations, more than two and a half million people may be affected by the earthquake in the two countries. Earthquake struck again in Turkey today as the smell of corpses in the skies of the two countries was not over.
