After the President and Prime Minister paid their respects in the first hour, the Central Shaheed Minar collection was opened to the public.

Today is immortal February 1, Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day. On this occasion, thousands of people flocked to the Central Shaheed Minar in the first hour of the twenty-first hour to pay respect to the language martyrs. This tower of Bengali grief and pride is filled with the flowers of thousands of people.

The Central Shaheed Minar was opened to the public after the President and Prime Minister paid their respects in the first hour. After that, the people came to Shaheed Minar. These people who came to pay their respects with bare feet had different kinds of flowers in their hands. Most of them were wearing black Punjabi, saris. Many wore black badges on their chests.   • President Mohammad Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid their respects at Shaheed Minar at the first hour of 19:00. After the speaker of Jatiya Sangsad, deputy speaker and opposition leaders paid their respects at Shaheed Bedi, people from all walks of life flocked to Shaheed Minar.
  • Sheikh Hasina on behalf of Awami League as the party president and along with the cabinet members once again placed flowers at the martyr's altar. Later, Speaker of National Parliament, Deputy Speaker and Leader of Opposition paid their respects.

Three army chiefs, police chiefs and diplomats of different countries laid flowers at the martyr's altar. The Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University paid tribute to his colleagues. Flowers were given by Sector Commanders of 71 and Mukti Jodha Command Council leaders. Leaders of 14 parties paid their respects.

There was unbridled cheer among the thousands who came to celebrate 51 years of Victory at the National Memorial. However, despite this, they did not forget to show their humble respect and love to the 3 million martyrs. The national memorial area is full of red and green flags and various slogans in the hands of children and old people.
