Amendments to Government School Admission Policy

Government school admission policy has been amended from 2023 academic year. From 1st class to 9th class if the brother or twin brother is studying from the first, the other can apply for admission.

This information was stated in a circular signed by Deputy Director of Secondary and Higher Education Department Mohammad Aziz Uddin on Monday (January 15).

It is said that according to the instructions, instead of January 15, the appeal can be filed till January 31. The admission committee will scrutinize the application and take necessary steps for admission. This facility will be applicable for maximum two children per family.

According to the notification, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education issued an order regarding the admission of siblings from Class 1 to Class 9 in the academic year 2023. The brother or twin brother mentioned in 2.6 of paragraph 2 of the said order can appeal the admission.
