Tornado death toll rises to 21 in US
At least 10 people have died in powerful tornadoes and storms in the US South and Midwest. More than half a hundred were injured and admitted to the hospital.
According to a report by ABC News, many people were trapped in their homes in the wake of this powerful tornado on Friday and Saturday morning. Besides, many important infrastructures have been damaged.
More than 50 tornadoes touched down in at least six states, including Arkansas, on Friday. Of these, 3 died in Arkansas.
Pulaski County, Arkansas spokeswoman Madeleine Roberts said at least 50 people were sent to various hospitals.
At least 22 tornadoes were initially reported in Illinois, 8 in Iowa, 4 in Tennessee, 5 in Wisconsin and 2 in Mississippi. In addition, at least 1 dozen tornadoes were reported in Arkansas, including the Little Rock area.
