This information was reported from the 'Tourist Police, Bangladesh' Facebook page on Monday (April 3) morning. Additional Superintendent of Police of Tourist Police Headquarters Nadia Farzana confirmed this.
Earlier he said in a Facebook post, "Avoid This Man in Bangladesh!" The man who harassed the foreign tourist in the video is not a beggar at all, he has the nature of a beggar.
Nadia Farzana said, we are trying hard so that they (foreign tourists) come to our country. And where are some people sitting to do all the mischief. That is why all conscious people should take care that no one hurts any foreign tourist in front of our eyes. Everyone should understand how important it is for foreign tourists to come here.
Meanwhile, YouTuber Luke Damant especially thanked the tourist police as the person was arrested. He wrote on his verified Facebook page, I am very thankful to the Bangladesh Tourist Police for ensuring the safety of all visitors.
Since posting the video on YouTube, I have received messages from over 1,000 Bangladeshis expressing their grief over the matter. My trip to Bangladesh has been incredible so far. But every country has some bad people. But these few individuals do not represent the billions of kind-hearted, hospitable and caring Bengalis.
