The Prime Minister's decision is final in the presidential election: who
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the party's decision on the presidential post may come the day before the election.
Dhaka: He said this in response to a question from journalists after participating in an awareness program on road passenger traffic in Matsya Bhavan area of the capital on Tuesday (February 7).
Obaidul Quader said that there may be a proposal regarding the election of the President in the meeting of the parliamentary party. We the parliamentary party will discuss this matter according to the agenda. You have to wait till the meeting. Everything will be done in today's meeting. The presidential election on the 19th, the decision may come until the day before.
The bridge minister said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is thinking about this. Whatever he ultimately decides will be accepted by our team. The decision of our President is final. It may be that we can give the responsibility to the head of the parliamentary party.
When asked what will be the program of Awami League in view of BNP's union level program, the general secretary of the party said, "Our program is every day." As in our department, it will be in the district, it will be in the upazila, it will be in the police station, it will be in the metropolis, it will be in the union and it will be in the ward if necessary. We will have programs all over Bangladesh until the elections.
He also said that we are carrying out our program and are not going into any conflict. In 2013-14, we saw them (BNP) burning terror, railway station, land office in the name of programme. It is our duty to provide security to people. So, I will be on alert until the next election in all of Bangladesh.
