Rokeya Afzal Rahman, former advisor to caretaker government
Rokeya Afzal Rahman, former caretaker government advisor and chairperson of Media World Limited, passed away. (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajeun).
He breathed his last at Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital in the early hours of Wednesday (April 5).
Rokeya Afzal was 82. He is survived by numerous relatives including two daughters and one son. His body will reach Dhaka tomorrow evening.
The founder of Bangladesh Women Entrepreneurs Federation was the director shareholder of Media Star and shareholder director of ABC Radio till his death.
He served as an advisor to the former caretaker government in the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, Ministry of Labor and Employment, Ministry of Social Welfare and Ministry of Culture.
