Queen of Belgium arrived in Dhaka
The Foreign Minister welcomed Queen Mathilde Marie Christine of Belgium at the airport.

Queen Mathilde arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9.30am on Monday (February 6) on a Qatar Airways flight. 

He was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the VIP arrival zone. AK Abdul Momen and Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud Queen Mathilde is visiting as one of 17 advocates committed to achieving UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' Sustainable Development Goals.

Queen Mathilde of Belgium will pay a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during the visit.

Besides, he will also visit Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar, a garment factory in Narayanganj and local schools and flood control project in Khulna.

Earlier, a notification issued by the Prime Minister's Office on January 30 announced the Queen's arrival.

In a notification from the Prime Minister's Office, the Queen of Belgium has been declared a person of special importance under the powers given in Clause A of Section 2 of the 'Special Security Forces Act, 2021'.

He is scheduled to return to his country on February 8 after the tour.
