Angel Di Maria picked up a leg injury while playing against Poland in their last group stage match at the World Cup in Qatar. That's why he had to sit on the side bench in the knockout round. However, Di Maria came on for 10 minutes towards the end of the quarter-final against the Netherlands. But the 34-year-old forward did not feature against Croatia in the semis.
