465 crore loss claim due to FIFA
Ukraine is going through a difficult war-torn situation. In the meantime, the country's popular club Shakhtar Donetsk received a big bad news.
The European club is facing huge losses due to the Ukraine-Russia war situation and several decisions taken by FIFA on Corona.
FIFA introduced new rules in 2020 regarding the transfer of players. In this, in accordance with the changed situation due to Corona, new rules have been created for the current relationship between the club and the players. Due to these rules, Shakhtar is claiming that the club has suffered a loss of 40 million euros or 465 million taka.
The Ukrainian club gave this information in a statement on Thursday (March 29). There, Shakhtar said FIFA's move had resulted in a loss of income from player transfers and a loss of around €4m as 'many international players' left the club on free transfers.
The United States news agency Reuters reported in a report that FIFA's ban on the work of international players and coaches continues. Shakhtar Donetsk has filed a complaint with the European Union against global football's governing body.
The chief executive of the club, Sergey Palkin, said that they want to cancel the decision made by FIFA. FIFA did not respond to Reuters' request for comment. As a result, what happens in the future is now a matter to be seen.
