One day father, one day mother will have Japanese little girl

The court ordered that the younger of the two children of Japanese origin, Nakano Laila Lina, will be in the custody of her father for one day and her mother for another day, pending the appeal hearing on February 16. Dhaka Metropolitan Hakim said on Thursday. Mamunur Rashid gave this order after the court hearing.

• Earlier, two Japanese children Nakano Layla Lina and Nakano Jasmine Malika and their parents appeared in the court. The hearing of both parties was held in their presence. After the hearing, the judge spoke to the two children. The court then ordered that the younger daughter, Nakano Laila Lina, will stay with her mother Nakano Eriko on one day and with engineer Imran Sharif on the other day, until the appeal is heard.

On January 22, the argument of both parties ended. Then on January 29, the Second Additional Assistant Judge of Dhaka and Family Court Judge Durdana Rahman announced that the two children of Japanese origin will be in the custody of their mother. Engineer Imran Sharif has appealed to the family court against this verdict. The hearing in this regard will be held on February 16.

Appellate Division

  On February 13 last year, the appellate division decided that the custody of the two girls will be decided by the family court and till then the two children will remain with their mother. The case then came from the Appellate Division to the Family Court.

Bangladeshi engineer Imran Sharif got married to Japanese doctor Nakano Eriko in 2008. Erico filed for divorce in early 2020 due to marital discord. After that, Imran moved to Bangladesh with his two eldest school-going daughters. The younger daughter stayed with Eriko in Japan.
