11,000 workers lost their jobs together in November last year. Facebook's parent company, Meta, has planned to lay off workers again, unable to cope with the shock.

Due to this, the budget of multiple teams of the organization has not been allocated. British business daily Financial Times reported this Saturday, citing two Meta employees familiar with the situation.

The wave of layoffs in the world's largest technology companies does not seem to end. Facebook's parent company Meta Inc. (META.O) is reportedly heading for layoffs again. Earlier, they laid off workers.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg

  • Meta announced earlier this month that the company could spend between $89 billion and $95 billion in 2023. CEO Mark Zuckerberg also referred to this year as the 'year of performance'. It is believed that once again the decision to lay off the staff is going to be made to increase that performance.
  • According to Meta, their expenditure this year will be between 89 and 95 billion, that is, between 8,900 and 9,500 million dollars.

Meta cut 13 percent or 11,000 workers in November last year. Along the way of Amazon and Microsoft, they also join the wave of layoffs. However, it is not known how many workers may be laid off this time.
