Public relations officer of PGCB, Badruddoja Sumon said, the power transmission line was disconnected at 5:50 am. Due to dense fog, power lines are often cut off. This is not a technical fault of the system.

He said, PGCB engineers checked the transmission tower and tried to restore the system. They restored the system at 10:38 am. Now supply is normalizing.
Moniruzzaman, Executive Engineer of Mohammadpur Power Distribution Department of Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC), said that there was a little problem in the morning. After 10:30, power supply was normal. Now there is no problem in any area.
It should be noted that the Aminbazar-Mohammadpur grid line is one of the main sources of electricity supply to some important facilities in Dhaka city, including the Prime Minister's official residence and Dhaka Cantonment. Even though regular customers are without power, these important installations continue to receive power through alternative sources.
