An accused in the BDR rebellion case named Abdul Baten (70) died at Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital.
An accused in the BDR rebellion case named Abdul Baten (70) died at Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital.
On Friday (February 24) he was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical Center at around 2:00 am, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
DMK Hospital Police Camp Incharge (Inspector) Md. Bachchu Mia confirmed his death.
The matter was confirmed by the in-charge (inspector) of Dhamek Hospital Police Camp. Bachchu Mia
He said that he was imprisoned as a prisoner in Kashimpur Central Jail. From there, the prison guards brought him to Dhaka Medical for treatment through Dhaka Central Jail. He was said to be a death row prisoner in the BDR mutiny case. The body has been kept in the morgue for post-mortem.
