Bomb blast in Pakistan kills 3, injures 30

At least three people were killed in a bomb blast in Bahawalnagar district of Pakistan's eastern Punjab province. During this time, at least 30 people were injured. The local media confirmed that the explosion happened on Thursday. Punjab Home Minister Raja Basharat said that there was a bomb blast in the Ashura procession on Thursday.

He said, at 10 am local time in Bahawalnagar, a person threw a grenade at a procession of Ashura. He said that the attacker has been kept in police custody. Two of the injured in the attack are in critical condition. They have been admitted to Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur. Others injured in the bomb attack are also undergoing treatment in the same hospital.
Security forces have been deployed in the area. Raja Basharat also said that this incident is being investigated. Meanwhile, Senator Sehar Kamran strongly condemned this incident. He wished speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.

Several videos of the bombing incident have already spread on social media. Policemen and ambulances were seen rushing to the scene. Injured people were also seen lying on the side of the road.
