Bangladesh set a new record in electricity generation
There is a new record in electricity production in the country. On Wednesday (April 12) at 9 pm, a record 14,932 megawatts of electricity was generated. It has broken all previous records in the history of electricity production in the country.

This official said that PDB's record production of 14 thousand 800 megawatts of electricity at 9 pm today. Which is the highest ever. Before this, on April 16 last year, the highest record was 14,782 MW. Today's record has surpassed that.

According to the PDB, power generation in the country has tripled in the last period since the Awami League-led government came to power.
In 2008, the first year of Awami League government, electricity generation in the country was 4 thousand 36 megawatts, on June 6, 2009, electricity generation was 3 thousand 268 megawatts, on August 13, 2015, 8 thousand 177 megawatts, in April 2016, 8 thousand 348 megawatts, in 2018, 11 thousand 387 megawatts. MW and on May 11, 2019, maximum 12 thousand 412 MW electricity was produced in the country.
