Recently, a research paper by Christopher and his colleagues has been published in the journal Science. The study is based on 12 years of data collected from volunteers participating in the online project Globe at Night. It has been found that due to artificial light, the brightness of the earth is increasing at a rate of 10 percent per year. And this increase is not allowing the light from the stars to reach the human eye.

Scientists say that if a child sees 250 stars in the sky today. But maybe after 15-18 years that person will see less than 100 stars in the same region.

Scientists aren't stopping at just calling it light pollution. They say artificial light is not like that anymore. It takes electricity. And for this you have to burn fuel. In most cases, some chemical contamination is involved. So scientists have warned that there is no chance to take it lightly.
