Citing the Wall Street Journal, Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this information on Wednesday (February 22). However, the report did not mention when Xi Jinping will visit.

Citing a senior Chinese official involved in this plan, the Wall Street Journal said that during the visit, they will discuss various issues to be done to maintain peace between the two countries. Apart from this, the issues of avoiding the use of nuclear weapons will also be discussed in this visit.

According to the Wall Street Journal, preparations for the visit are in the early stages. The timing is yet to be finalised. But Xi's visit could take place in April or early May, when Russia will celebrate its World War II victory over Nazi Germany.

China's top diplomat Wang Yi is currently in Moscow. He is scheduled to meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Beijing before ordering his troops to attack Ukraine. There he met with President Xi Jinping. After that meeting, they announced that China-Russia friendship will be 'boundless'. Which worries the West. Later that thought deepened.

Because, after the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine, Beijing did not say even though various countries condemned it. Even when Moscow was reeling under Western sanctions, China did not take any anti-Russian measures. Even in the United Nations Security Council, the country has repeatedly stood by Moscow.

Meanwhile, 'China is thinking about supplying arms to Russia' - the United States has recently expressed such doubts. Not only that, the United States and Europe have also warned Beijing about this.

However, China has denied the allegations. On the contrary, Beijing is complaining that the US is making the crisis worse by supplying arms to Ukraine.
