Veteran actor and actor Humayun Faridi's death anniversary today. On February 13, 2012, he left for the land of no return. Faridi was equally popular in film, stage and television.

Humayun Faridi was born on May 29, 1952 in Narinda, Dhaka. Father ATM Nurul Islam and mother Begum Farida Islam. The journey of this actor started by acting in stage and TV dramas in the mid-seventies. Later, he made a permanent place in the hearts of many Bengali-speaking fans from home and abroad by acting with equal power in films, television and stage. He has shown equal skill in all roles - hero or villain.

Humayun Faridi was a close friend of dramatist Salim Al Deen. He delighted the audience by acting in classical dramas like 'Keramat Mangal', 'Kittankhola', 'Muntasir Fantasy', 'Haat Hadai' written by Salim Al Deen.

Apart from this, Humayun Faridi acted for the first time in the TV drama 'Nikhonj Sangbad'. However, he took himself to another height by playing the role of 'Kan Kata Ramzan' in the serial drama 'Samshaptak'. Humayun Faridi's film debut was in 'Hulia'.

He acted on the silver screen for more than a decade. He was awarded many awards including the National Film Award for his acting.
