A section is spreading confusion about textbooks: Information Minister
Information Minister Hasan Mahmud commented that a circle is spreading confusion around the issue of textbooks. He told the mediapersons that there were some mistakes in the textbook 10-11 years ago. They were then corrected. Those mistakes are now being discussed again.
He said this while interacting with journalists at the book launch stage of the book fair on Friday (February 3).
The information minister said that if there is any mistake in the textbook, there are two expert committees to fix it. The committee will correct the mistakes in discussion with the scholars.
He also said that since there is no issue now, only the mistake of the textbook is being issued. Mirza Fakhrul made a political tool based on this issue. I will tell him to read the books well first.
Hasan Mahmud said that Bangladesh is moving forward today under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina and said that we have surpassed Pakistan and even India in various indicators including human development index, social index, economic index. When Awami League formed the government in 2009, Bangladesh was the 60th largest economy. Now the position of Bangladesh in GDP is 35. And we are the 31st economy in PPP.
