1 lakh 27 thousand 198 people will go for Hajj this time
The quota of pilgrims in Bangladesh this year is 1 lakh 27 thousand 198, said Faridul Haque Khan, State Minister for Religion.
He said this during the question and answer session in the National Parliament today.
In response to the question of M. Abdul Latif, a member of parliament of the government party, the state minister for religion said that the quota of pilgrims in Bangladesh in 2009 was 58 thousand 628 people. In 2019 it increased to 1 lakh 26 thousand 923 people.
But due to the Corona situation in 2022, like other countries, Bangladesh was given a limited quota of 60 thousand 146 pilgrims.

The state minister for religion said, "Overall, the quota of pilgrims has increased by 148 percent from 2009 to 2023."
He mentioned that this is one big milestone of the success of the present government.
