How to keep the house cool without AC in extreme heat
Autumn is going on in nature now. During this time, people and animals often become indigestion in the summer heat. AC or air cooler has become a companion of many people to get rid of this burning situation. But as most of the houses do not have AC or cooler, they have to rely on fans. There are some home remedies that will help to cool down the indoor environment of the house. Natural ventilation is one of them. You can follow some things for this method. For example-
1. You can keep the windows open on the side of the house that has the most air flow. This will fill the room with air after sunset.
2. During the summer, hot air circulates during the day, so be careful not to let the intense heat of the afternoon sun come into the house. But after sunset, when the temperature drops a bit and the cold air starts to circulate, open the windows and doors and let the air enter the room. Cold air will remove the stuffy air in the room.
3. If you want to keep the house cool in summer, you can use white or light colored cotton cloth on the bed. If the bed sheet is thick, sweat is more. White and light colored materials do not absorb heat, but reflect it.
4. You can plant plants around the house to keep the house cool. Plant shade trees in east-west direction to prevent direct sunlight from entering the house. The house is cooler if there are grassy plants around the house.
5. White roofs are one of the best ways to naturally cool your home in the summer. White color does not absorb heat, but reflects it. Hence, white color will reflect the sun rays and keep the house cool naturally. For this reason, the roof and terrace areas of the house can be painted white.
6. Create a conditioner at home. Take a bowl of ice cubes or ice and place it in front of or under the fan, then run the fan. After a while, when the ice begins to melt, the wind will absorb the cold water and spread it around. This will cool the fan air for ice and circulate cold air throughout the room. Source: Bold Sky
