First full-length film shot in space trailer released
After the Cold War, the race for space began with renewed vigor. Earlier, space was only a matter of proving superiority through military and daring campaigns, but now its frontiers have expanded into business, tourism and films. Although the United States is ahead in space business and tourism, Russian producers have shown the first surprise in the film world.
The role of the surgeon is played by Russian actress Yulia Peresild. The role of the sick astronaut was played by the real cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky. On March 7, the Russian makers released the trailer of 'The Challenge'.
The film is produced by 'Yolo, Black and White Studio', Russian state-run television channel 'Channel One Russia', the country's space agency Roscosmos. "The film aims to popularize Russia's space activities as well as glorify the cosmonaut profession," Roscosmos said in a statement.
The film 'The Challenge' will release on April 12.
