Eleven people have been reported killed in a series of Russian missile attacks targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure. On Thursday, several missile attacks were carried out in different cities of the country, including the capital, Kiev.

In a Telegram post, the State Emergency Service said the attacks targeted several areas, including the capital Kyiv and the southern part of Odessa. 11 people were killed and 11 others injured in the attack. More than a hundred personnel took part in the search and rescue operation after the attack. Al Jazeera could not independently verify the death toll.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's top general said the country's air defenses shot down 47 of the 55 missiles.
