Bangladesh has changed in these 14 years: Sheikh Hasina

Stating that stability has come to Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Bangladesh has changed in these 14 years from 2009 to 2023. We are giving houses to the homeless even during the Corona period. I did not see who was from which party. We see people as people.

He said this at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected mayor and councilors of Rangpur City Corporation (RASIK) at the Prime Minister's Office on Tuesday (January 31) morning.

  The Chief Minister said that the High Court declared illegal the usurpation of power by issuing martial law. As a result, the right to vote, the right to democracy, and the fundamental rights of the people of Bangladesh today have been confirmed. We consolidated democracy by introducing the Fifteenth Amendment to our Constitution in the wake of this declaration. This democracy is about consolidating the power of the people and ensuring that the people can choose who is not in power.
